Our Primary teachers play an important role in nurturing each child’s academic, personal and social development during these formative years.
Working within the English National Curriculum, our teaching teams provide a caring, stimulating and engaging learning environment where every child is encouraged to develop confidence, curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
Supported by specialist teachers and dedicated pastoral care, our Primary staff work collaboratively to ensure that every child is known, valued and challenged to achieve their personal best.

Ms. Alexandra Davies, originally from the UK, holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Primary Education and PE from the University of Cumbria. She has ten years of experience teaching across primary and early years settings. Her career has taken her through state and international schools in the UK, Italy, Kenya, and now Malaysia.
She is passionate about creating a warm, inclusive learning environment where children feel confident to explore, take risks, and develop independence. With a background in PE, she values holistic education and enjoys incorporating active, creative, and hands-on learning experiences that make learning meaningful and memorable.
Outside the classroom, Ms. Davies enjoys swimming and travelling. She has a passion for exploring different cultures, trying new experiences, and learning about the traditions and perspectives that make each community unique.
Having taught in diverse international settings, she values cultural exchange and believes education should nurture curiosity, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.

Ballber Sanghera

Mr. Ballber Sanghera graduated from Lancaster University in the UK with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Mathematics and Economics, before going on to complete his teacher training with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at Leicester University. He spent several years teaching in both KS1 and KS2 in the UK before making the move to teaching internationally.
He taught at a range of highly regarded schools in the Middle East, including the British School of Muscat and Dubai English Speaking School, before moving to Malaysia where he taught Year 6 at Repton International School. He began teaching Year 6 at Concord College International School in 2024.
Although he enjoys teaching across the curriculum, the teaching of mathematics is a particular passion and Mr. Sanghera has been the maths lead for primary in five of his previous schools, ensuring rigour and consistency throughout the school.

I believe that learning is a continuous journey of exploration and discovery, and when learners are at its centre, imagination can flourish and thrive.”

Benjamin Hollingsworth

Mr. Benjamin Hollingsworth comes from Burnley, United Kingdom and graduated from the University of Plymouth with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History. After university, he worked voluntarily at his former primary school before attaining a Certificate in Teaching of English as a Foreign Language and moving to Berlin to teach English. From there, Mr. Hollingsworth graduated with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Reading and has since gained a decade of teaching experience.
Mr. Hollingsworth has a particular interest in languages and ICT, with subject leadership experience in both. He makes use of technology in many lessons, seeing it as a means to support traditional teaching methods rather than to replace them. In September 2026, he will begin studying for his Masters in Digital Pedagogy and Educational Futures with the University of Aberdeen.
In his spare time, Mr. Hollingsworth trains Muay Thai, enjoys travelling and exploring new places. He is excited to learn Bahasa Melayu and to work at Concord College International School!

Mrs Caroline Vasileiou studied Education at Plymouth University before completing her Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE) at the University of Derby and later gaining a Master of Arts in Education and Leadership from Wrexham University. After beginning her teaching career in the United Kingdom, she developed extensive international experience working in prestigious schools across Central Switzerland, Abu Dhabi, Boston and Nanjing.
Throughout her career, Mrs. Vasileiou has taught across a range of primary settings and developed particular passions for the Arts and Outdoor Education. She is committed to creating engaging and inclusive learning environments where creativity, curiosity and confidence can flourish. Her teaching philosophy centers on kindness, understanding and innovation, with a strong belief that every child can succeed when given the right opportunities and support.
Mrs Vasileiou is passionate about nurturing well-rounded learners and encouraging students to embrace new experiences both inside and beyond the classroom. In her own words: “I believe that kindness, creativity and meaningful learning experiences help children grow into confident and compassionate individuals, and I look forward to contributing to the warm and supportive community at CCIS Malaysia.”

George Ridley

Mr. George Ridley has worked in international education for the past eight years across China and Malaysia, teaching students from early years through to primary. Having attained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Essex and an International Postgraduate Certificate in Education (iPGCE) from the University of Sunderland, he applies his knowledge of child development and cultural learning to his work enthusiastically. Before joining Concord College International School in 2024, he worked in Beijing and Shanghai, where he also served as a Head of Grade One.
Now entering his third year at Concord, Mr. Ridley is passionate about creating a classroom environment where children feel supported and confident to take risks in their learning. He strongly believes that creativity, curiosity, and strong relationships are at the heart of meaningful education.
Mr. Ridley enjoys designing engaging, hands-on learning experiences that encourage students to explore, collaborate, and develop independence while still having plenty of fun along the way.

Mrs. Joyce Jemimah Anak Simon graduated with a Bachelor in Education in Teaching English Second Language (ESL) from Universiti Selangor, and has over ten years of experience in education; having taught across the Early Years, Primary and Secondary phases in both private and international schools. She is passionate about creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child feels valued, confident, and supported to reach their full potential.
Outside the classroom, Ms. Simon enjoys travelling, exploring different cultures, and spending time with family and friends over home-cooked meals. She believes that every child learns in their own way and is committed to nurturing curiosity, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Ms. Shabena Begum is a passionate educator with a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Psychology from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the Institute of Education, London. She began her teaching career in the UK before moving internationally, teaching in Qatar, the UAE, and Malaysia. She has now spent 10 years teaching in Malaysia, including in Johor Bahru and Penang.
Her teaching philosophy is that happy children learn best. She truly believes learning should be fun, engaging, and meaningful, and that kindness is at the heart of every successful classroom. She strives to create a positive environment where children feel safe, motivated, and excited to learn each day. She is passionate about sparking curiosity, building confidence, and helping every child achieve their potential through supportive and joyful learning experiences.

Mr. Dinesh Gunasekaran is a certified volleyball coach and experienced swimming instructor who has been coaching and teaching swimming since 2019. He has particular experience helping students build water confidence, overcome water phobia, and develop the skills needed for both recreational and competitive swimming. Through his coaching, he strives to create an environment where every student feels supported, challenged, and motivated to improve.
He believes that sport provides a safe environment for students to experience pressure, overcome setbacks, and develop the resilience needed for life’s bigger challenges. He is passionate about helping students build confidence, embrace teamwork, and recognise that meaningful growth comes through both victory and defeat.
Outside school, Mr. Dinesh remains actively involved in the volleyball community as a competitive player, coach, and tournament organiser. He enjoys creating opportunities for athletes to compete and develop, while continuing to learn from the sport himself. Away from the court, he enjoys board games with family and friends, appreciating the strategy, teamwork, and connection they bring.

Dr. Nur Fiezila Binti Mohd Rezaly is an experienced educator with more than 16 years of teaching experience in both public and private educational institutions. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Measurement from Sultan Idris Education University and a Master of Education from Asia E-University.
Throughout her career, she has contributed extensively to the international education sector, serving as Head of Bahasa Malaysia, an IGCSE Speaking Internal Examiner, and a Cambridge Assessment Specialist for the Foreign Language Malay Reading paper. She was also a founding member of a curriculum development team dedicated to creating innovative teaching approaches that make Bahasa Malaysia learning engaging and meaningful for students from diverse backgrounds.
Dr. Nur Fiezila is passionate about helping students develop confidence and proficiency in language while fostering an appreciation for culture and lifelong learning. She believes that every student can succeed when learning is purposeful, inclusive, and connected to the world around them.

Ms. Gabrielle Soon graduated with a Bachelor of Teaching from Institut Pendidikan Guru Malaysia in 2010 and began her teaching journey in 2011 as a primary school teacher. After earning her Master of Performing Arts from the University of Malaya in 2019, she transitioned to international schools.
Along the way, she had the privilege of serving as Head of the Mandarin Department at Sri KDU Klang International School and later as Academic Vice Principal at Wesley Methodist School Bandar Seri Coalfield (Primary). While Ms. Soon values every leadership experience, her greatest joy has always been teaching. She believes language learning should be meaningful, enjoyable, and filled with encouragement.
She is excited about the opportunity to join Concord College International School and look forward to learning, growing, and sharing the joy of Mandarin with her students.

Mrs. Iemke Dry embarked on her teaching journey in South Africa, where she acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). Fascinated by diverse cultures and the opportunity to explore different countries, she devoted 18 years to teaching at various international and private schools across South Africa, Egypt, and Singapore. Driven by her passion for education, she pursued a master’s degree in education in the United States.
Mrs. Dry’s expertise encompasses specialist Art teaching and Primary Class instruction, with experience in IB, the British National curriculum, as well as developing a bespoke inquiry-based curricula. Her primary goal has always been to ignite a profound love for learning within children. This commitment is underscored by her unwavering dedication to fostering a positive, welcoming, and motivating classroom environment, centered on inclusivity.

Iria Perez Navas

Ms. Iria Perez Navas studied Journalism and completed a Master’s in Marketing before beginning her career in a fast-paced marketing agency in Spain. She relocated to the United Kingdom to transition into education where she successfully gained her Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and gained extensive experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) across both the state and independent sectors.
Seeking further international experience, she moved with her family to Slovakia to work in an international school before embarking on her latest exciting move to Malaysia.
While Ms. Perez Navas absolutely loves sharing the vibrant Spanish language and culture in her classroom, her true fulfillment comes from pastoral care. She deeply enjoys her role as a Form Tutor, where she prioritises creating meaningful, supportive relationships to help her students thrive both personally and academically.
In her spare time, she loves spending quality time with her family and has developed a strong passion for sports, particularly running.

Krisztina Ujhazy

Ms. Krisztina Ujhazy received her master’s degree in Music Education at the Eotvos Lorand University Budapest, Hungary, and completed her teacher training at the University of East London. She also holds a master’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
After teaching strings to all age groups in New Jersey, USA, Mrs. Ujhazy moved back to her native Hungary, where she worked as a Secondary School music teacher and choir conductor, as well as a teacher of English as a second language. She has played the violin in different strings and symphony orchestras and sang in semi-professional choirs in the USA and Hungary. She played the violin in a rock band and wrote songs for them, which the band performed successfully at club concerts and festivals across Europe. She was the artistic director and conductor of school and adult community choirs and conducted them at countless successful concerts and competitions. She is also the composer of instrumental and choral pieces.
Mrs. Ujhazy started her international teaching career as the Secondary Strings Teacher at one of the top international schools in South-East Asia, Bangkok Patana School, Thailand. She joined CCIS in 2024 and designed a Music curriculum across all year groups to challenge students with different backgrounds at their level, creating learning and performing opportunities for talented young musicians.

Matthew McCobb

Matthew McCobb was born and raised in Crosby, Liverpool (Evertonian). After Secondary, he studied for three years at Southport College of Art (Drawing, Painting, Graphic Design, Photography, Ceramics). Mr McCobb then graduated from Middlesex University, London with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) Fine Art and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Nottingham University, UK.
Mr. McCobb’s teaching experience includes two years at the German International School of Abu Dhabi, designing the curriculum and examinations. He has three years’ experience teaching the MYP and DP visual art programme at Emirates National School, Abu Dhabi where he also qualified as an IB Visual Arts Examiner.
He has spent five years in St Andrews S107, Bangkok as a Visual Arts teacher responsible for KS3, KS4 & KS5. During this time, he also taught KS3 Design & Technology and been involved with creating units of learning for Primary students from Year 4 – 6.
“It has been a pleasure to be part of founding teachers as we build the Creative Arts Department along with students and staff. We have built a solid foundation on which student creativity can continue to flourish in the coming years.”

Mr. Oswin Tan graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Chinese Studies from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Philosophy at National Central University in Taiwan. An experienced Mandarin educator, he has taught First, Second and Foreign Language Mandarin across a range of international and Chinese independent school settings, joining Concord College International School after serving as Head of Year and Mandarin Teacher at Crescendo-HELP International School.
With more than a decade of teaching experience, Mr. Tan is passionate about developing students’ confidence, curiosity and critical thinking. His lessons combine rigorous language learning with wider discussions of literature, current affairs and philosophy, helping students to think deeply and communicate with precision. He believes that effective teaching makes thinking visible by enabling students to understand the logic that underpins language.
Mr. Tan holds Cambridge International qualifications in Teaching and Learning, achieving Distinction in both the Cambridge International Award and Certificate. Beyond the classroom, he has led pastoral initiatives as a Head of Year and coached successful badminton teams in inter-school competitions.
Outside school, Mr. Tan enjoys reading, philosophy, spending time with his family and camping. He is committed to helping every student discover their strengths, develop resilience and flourish both academically and personally.

Mr. Tee Rui Jie is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in English as an Additional Language (EAL), having worked with students from Early Years through to Secondary School across a range of international schools in Malaysia. Throughout his career, he has supported learners from diverse linguistic, cultural and educational backgrounds, helping them develop confidence and proficiency in English.
He holds a Master of Arts in TESOL with Distinction from Northumbria University, Newcastle (UK), and is currently pursuing a PhD in Education at the University of Malaya. Passionate about language learning and student development, Mr. Tee is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered to succeed.
With a strong belief in the transformative power of education, he strives to inspire students to embrace challenges, become independent learners, and reach their full potential. In his own words, ‘Teaching is more than a profession, it is a responsibility and a calling. I find great joy in witnessing each child’s growth and development and I am committed to equipping students with the skills, confidence and mindset they need to thrive in an ever-changing world.’

Wan Yasmin

Ms. Wan Yasmin Binti Wan Jalaluddin is a Sport Science graduate from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and has been teaching Physical Education since 2018 in an international school setting. With hockey as her main sport, she also has expertise in fitness and dance, including Salsation, Aerodance, and Zumba, as well as other sports.
Passionate about introducing students to a wide variety of sports and physical activities, Ms. Yasmin believes that every child should have the opportunity to develop fundamental movement skills, appreciate the value of sportsmanship, and discover a lifelong passion for staying active. She is committed to guiding students through every step of their learning journey, encouraging them to understand that meaningful progress comes through dedication, perseverance, and consistent effort.
Beyond the classroom, Ms. Yasmin enjoys maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. She is currently exploring new challenges through duathlon events and tennis, embracing the mindset of continuous learning and personal growth. She also believes that the more knowledge we share with others, the more we learn and grow ourselves, and strives to inspire this attitude in both her students and colleagues.

Ms. Wee Chin Fang is a dedicated Mandarin educator with over 20 years of teaching experience. She graduated from the University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Studies, where she developed a strong foundation in the Chinese language, literature, and culture.
Passionate about language education, Ms. Wee is committed to helping students develop confidence and proficiency in Mandarin while fostering a deeper appreciation of Chinese culture. She believes that education is a collaborative journey and values the meaningful connections and relationships formed through teaching and learning alongside her students.
Outside the classroom, Ms. Wee enjoys embroidery and cooking, both of which provide creative outlets and contribute to a balanced lifestyle. She also has a keen interest in travel and enjoys exploring diverse cultures and traditions. These experiences broaden her perspectives and continue to enrich both her personal and professional growth.

Yassir Sliti

Mr. Yassir Sliti is Head of Physical Education and Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) at Concord College International School (CCIS). He brings extensive experience from both the UK and international education, having held leadership roles across Physical Education, pastoral care, and boarding. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from California State University, Long Beach, USA and a Master of Science in Sports and Business Management from The University of East London. Alongside his teaching career, he competed at an elite level in volleyball for over a decade, representing both England and Great Britain.
He is passionate about using sport as a platform to develop transferable life skills such as leadership, resilience, communication, teamwork, and confidence. He is particularly committed to creating opportunities for students to lead through sport, compete with purpose, and challenge themselves beyond the classroom. He believes in building an environment where every student feels encouraged to participate, improve, and grow.
Mr. Sliti is proud to be part of CCIS’ culture of rigour, kindness, and creativity, and is dedicated to helping young people thrive in all aspects of school life.
