Mrs. Iemke Dry embarked on her teaching journey in South Africa, where she acquired a Bachelor of Arts degree and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). Fascinated by diverse cultures and the opportunity to explore different countries, she devoted 18 years to teaching at various international and private schools across South Africa, Egypt, and Singapore. Driven by her passion for education, she pursued a master’s degree in education in the United States.
Mrs. Dry’s expertise encompasses specialist Art teaching and Primary Class instruction, with experience in IB, the British National curriculum, as well as developing a bespoke inquiry-based curricula. Her primary goal has always been to ignite a profound love for learning within children. This commitment is underscored by her unwavering dedication to fostering a positive, welcoming, and motivating classroom environment, centered on inclusivity.

Matthew McCobb

Matthew McCobb
Matthew McCobb was born and raised in Crosby, Liverpool (Evertonian). After Secondary, he studied for three years at Southport College of Art (Drawing, Painting, Graphic Design, Photography, Ceramics). Mr McCobb then graduated from Middlesex University, London with a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) Fine Art and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from Nottingham University, UK.
Mr. McCobb’s teaching experience includes two years at the German International School of Abu Dhabi, designing the curriculum and examinations. He has three years’ experience teaching the MYP and DP visual art programme at Emirates National School, Abu Dhabi where he also qualified as an IB Visual Arts Examiner.
He has spent five years in St Andrews S107, Bangkok as a Visual Arts teacher responsible for KS3, KS4 & KS5. During this time, he also taught KS3 Design & Technology and been involved with creating units of learning for Primary students from Year 4 – 6.

Mr. Craig Tyler holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Nottingham Trent University in the UK. He then worked for a few different companies, mainly in administration or business-related roles and worked for the Birmingham City Council for several years. Desiring a change in his life, he decided to pursue work abroad and began his career in education. After working as a teaching assistant in Barcelona and developing a passion for teaching, he decided to apply for a job in Beijing and worked there for one academic year. Ultimately, he attained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Secondary English Teaching at Birmingham City University and began working at a school in Coventry in the UK.
A passionate traveller, Mr. Tyler relishes the chance to work with students with different backgrounds and who belong to different cultures than himself. He has found working in different countries an enriching and transformative experience, and wishes to continue doing this for the foreseeable future. A keen jogger, swimmer, movie buff and videogame fan, he tries to balance exercise with entertainment during his leisure time and has also taken the time to explore many different areas of Malaysia during his time working here.

John Craig

Hailing from Australia, Mr. John Craig completed his Bachelor of Education Majoring in TESOL through the Canadian Institute of English. Initially, his passion for teaching took him on volunteer teaching missions in the South Pacific of island of Papua New Guinea, developing his skills in teaching and public speaking with foreign students in compassion and kindness. After this he relocated to Malaysia with his family where he became an IELTS Program Leader at Putra International College in the historical city of Melaka, mainly focussing on undergraduates from neighbouring countries such as China and Korea.
Over the next 16 years, he has worked in several international schools focusing on helping students of English as a Second Language, enabling them to become proficient in First Language English, including Chinese Taipei International School of Kuala Lumpur, Kingsley International School and Sri KDU International School Klang, spending a total of 16 enjoyable years as both an English Teacher, Head of Key Stage 4 and Head of the English Department, implementing both the EAL and ESL programs into the schools. His professional and cultural experience enables him to empathize with his students.
Mr. Craig encourages students to be positive and confident in their existing abilities while learning to improve and to view mistakes as opportunities for development instead of obstacles in the way of progress. Mr. Yeh R’ong studied Teaching English as a Second Language at HELP University before completing a Master of Arts in Education at the University of Nottingham Malaysia. He began his teaching career in the international school sector, where he spent more than six years teaching English Language and Literature to students from Year 7 through to IGCSE level.
During this time, he developed extensive experience teaching both First Language English and English as a Second Language, while also serving as a Cambridge IGCSE Speaking Examiner. His professional interests include student motivation, literacy development, and creating meaningful learning experiences that encourage students to engage with language beyond the classroom.
Now part of the team at Concord College International School, Mr. Yeh is passionate about helping students develop strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, and a lifelong appreciation for literature. He particularly enjoys supporting students as they grow in confidence as readers, writers, and speakers.
In his own words: “Great learning happens when students feel confident enough to take risks, ask questions, and express their ideas. My goal is to help every student find the confidence to do that and enjoy the journey of learning.”

Mr. Andrew Kirkbride graduated from Lakehead University in Canada with a Bachelor of Business Administration before completing a Graduate Diploma of Education at La Trobe University in Melbourne, Australia. Over the past two decades, he has built a diverse international teaching career spanning Canada, South Korea, Malaysia and the United Kingdom. During this time, he has held a range of leadership positions, including Head of Key Stage, Head of Mathematics, Head of Integrated Curriculum and Well-being Leader.
Andrew has extensive experience teaching across both Primary and Secondary settings, with particular expertise in Mathematics, Computer Science and curriculum development. He is passionate about creating engaging, differentiated learning experiences that foster curiosity, resilience and a love of learning. Throughout his career, he has led professional development initiatives, supported colleagues in refining their practice and partnered closely with parents and carers to support each student’s academic and personal growth.
In his own words: “The most effective learning takes place in an environment built on mutual respect, high expectations and genuine care. My goal is to help students develop not only the knowledge and skills they need for success, but also the confidence, character and curiosity to embrace new opportunities throughout their lives.”

Mr. Bryan Fordham brings over fifteen years of dedicated experience in Mathematics education, combining a strong background in technology with a passion for teaching and learning. Originally from Canada, Mr. Fordham began his professional career in IT before discovering a deep interest in education. This pivotal transition led him into teaching, where he has since built extensive experience in international secondary schools in China and Malaysia.
Along the way, Mr. Fordham earned a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and a Master’s Degree in Teaching Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, further strengthening his expertise and commitment to the field.
Now entering his third year at Concord College International School, he continues to enjoy being part of the school’s growth and development. He is passionate about creating engaging learning experiences, supporting students to achieve their potential, and contributing positively to the wider school community.

Dr Samim Nur Rahman

Dr. Samim Nur Rahman hails from India and holds a PhD in Mathematics from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, India as well as a Master of Education from Vinnayaka Mission University, India. He brings over 24 years of international teaching experience having taught across a wide of curricula, including the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), Key Stages 2 and 3, IGCSE, GCSE, A Level, and Advanced Placement (AP).
Dr. Samim has worked in the Maldives, China, and the United Arab Emirates. During his eight years at Yew Chung International School in Qingdao, he made a significant impact as a Mathematics teacher. He then spent five years in Beijing, teaching in two well-regarded international schools as both a MYP and IBDP Mathematics teacher, as well as serving as a MYP Coordinator. For the past four years, he has worked in Abu Dhabi across three reputable international schools in roles including Mathematics teacher and academic coordinator.
He has taken on leadership roles in his previous schools, playing a key part in the MYP, IBDP, and CIS accreditation processes. He is known for being articulate, enthusiastic, and deeply committed to student success. He thrives on working with students from diverse backgrounds, teaching Grades 6 through 13, and tailoring his approach to meet varying levels of proficiency.
A passionate educator, Dr. Samim is dedicated to creating a positive, challenging, and engaging learning environment where all students are encouraged to reach their full potential. Outside the classroom, he enjoys exploring new cultures and is an avid participant in outdoor activities, especially soccer, cricket, and swimming.

Mr. Erasmus Dry hails from South Africa and have been teaching for more than 20 years. Currently in his second year at Concord College International School, he is the Head of Key Stage 4 and teaches Computer Science. Currently holds a master’s in education degree from North-West University.
He is passionate about Computer Science, technology, robotics, innovation, and the exciting ways science and technology continue to shape the world. Mr. Dry enjoys creating practical, hands-on learning experiences that encourage students to explore, experiment, solve problems, and think differently.
Outside the classroom, he enjoys mountain biking, pickleball, and basically any sport that gets him moving.
He believes that curiosity, humour, and a willingness to try new things are important parts of learning, especially in the ever-changing world of technology and science.

Ms. Grace Lim Sze En was raised and educated in Malaysia. With the generous support of Sunsuria Education Berhad, she pursued her studies at Agape Resource Center and INTI International University. She later graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Xiamen University Malaysia. She is currently in her second year of teaching at Concord College International School.
Ms. Lim is deeply grateful for Sunsuria Education Berhad’s unwavering support and is enthusiastic about contributing to the continued growth and success of Concord College International School. She is committed to fostering a learning environment where students feel motivated, inspired, and empowered to embrace challenges with confidence.

Mrs. Susan Wiid serves as the Head of Mathematics at Concord College International School, bringing a wealth of international experience from both South Africa and Egypt. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Botany, and Zoology, a Bachelor of Science Honours in Botany, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) Teacher’s Diploma, all earned from the University of Johannesburg. With a distinguished career dedicated to academic leadership and mathematics education, she is passionate about helping students unlock the power of mathematics through creativity, critical thinking, and confidence-building.
Known for her collaborative leadership style and warm, approachable nature, Mrs. Wiid’s background includes roles as a school principal, curriculum developer, and mathematics examiner. She is committed to fostering a highly structured, positive, and stable environment where both students and staff can truly thrive.
Reflecting on her time at CCIS, Mrs. Wiid deeply appreciates the school’s vibrant academic culture. She takes great pride in coordinating student participation in rigorous global and local mathematics competitions, providing students with challenging opportunities to sharpen their problem-solving skills on an international stage. Mr. David Geary originally hails from the Emerald Isle, Ireland. He holds a joint Bachelor of Art in English and History as well as a Master of Arts in English from University College Cork, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) in Secondary History teaching from the University of Edinburgh. He is an experienced history specialist, having taught in the UK, China, and Malaysia for over a decade. He has taught the IGCSE and International A Level curricula for many years. While his primary subject is history, he has also taught geography, Global Perspectives, and English. In addition, he has served as Head of Department in two different schools.
Mr. Geary firmly believes that fostering strong relationships is at the heart of effective teaching and learning, as it allows pupils to feel safe and supported—essential for taking risks and learning deeply. He is also highly interested in enquiry-based learning and in developing the critical thinking skills necessary to navigate an increasingly complex world.
Outside of school, Mr. Geary enjoys travelling and has visited over fifty countries. He loves living in Malaysia, appreciating its wonderful people and rich culture.

Mr. Eric Chan was educated at a boarding school in the UK, during which time he discovered his love for Economics. He went on to read Economics at the University of Sheffield, before starting his teaching career in 2008 upon completion of his teacher training at The Chinese University of Hong Kong earning him a Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
Mr. Chan has over a decade of experience teaching IGCSE, A Level and IB Economics at renowned schools in Asia and the UK. He is also an examiner for A Level Economics.
He enjoys discussing current world economic and political issues with his students, allowing them to understand and appreciate the relevance of Economics to their daily lives.
Mr. Chan joined CCIS from Sherborne Girls, a leading all girls’ boarding school in the UK. Since joining the Concord family at its inception in September 2024, he has enjoyed sharing his enthusiasm for Economics with students at CCIS and inspiring them to become passionate learners of the subject.

Ms. Mhearban studied Law at City St George’s, University of London before completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Business and Economics at the UCL Institute of Education. She has spent over a decade teaching Economics in both grammar and independent schools across the United Kingdom and has also served as an examiner, giving her valuable insight into assessment and academic excellence.
For her, Economics is far more than a subject—it is a way of understanding the world. She is passionate about making Economics meaningful by connecting classroom learning to current affairs and real-world issues.
Ms. Mhearban hopes to inspire students to become curious, ambitious learners and resilient problem solvers who are equipped to make a positive impact on the world around them.

Ms. Rebecca Kernaghan studied History at King’s College London (KCL) and completed her International Postgraduate Certificate in Education (IPGCE) at the Institute of Education. She worked in London, including Latymer Grammar School. Her family moved to Shanghai where she became the Head of TOK at BISS Puxi and then was Lead of Humanities at the King’s International School in Hangzhou (RDFZ). After living in China for 13 years, they came to Malaysia to be closer to family here.
She is not only passionate about teaching and learning but also wider educational experiences. She leads the Duke of Edinburgh International Awards programme and organises many events at school, such as Model United Nations events and ‘ConVerse Talks’ to enhance the holistic opportunities for students to develop their vigour and creativeness.
Ms. Kernaghan is a believer that education is a lifelong endeavour and to foster students to become global citizens. She has just completed her masters in ‘Global Cultures’ with KCL.

Mr. Ross Evans holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Geography from Manchester Metropolitan University in the UK. After graduating, he began his professional career with Barclays Bank Plc, joining its graduate training programme. Following two years in the finance industry, he embarked on an extensive period of travel across Asia, Oceania and South America. These experiences sparked a passion for education and ultimately inspired him to pursue a teaching career. On returning to the UK, he completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at Keele University.
With more than 15 years of teaching experience in both the UK and international schools, Mr. Evans is committed to fostering curiosity and helping students develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
His enthusiasm for geography extends beyond the classroom, with a love of travel and adventure that has seen him complete iconic treks including the Annapurna Circuit, Everest Base Camp, and Mount Kilimanjaro. A keen cyclist and outdoor enthusiast, he enjoys exploring new environments and recently completed his Advanced PADI Open Water Diver certification. He looks forward to continuing his scuba diving adventures while discovering more of Malaysia’s spectacular marine ecosystems.

Mr. Steven Cale studied Geography at the University of Bristol. After completing his Postgraduate Certificate in Education and teaching for a decade in day and boarding schools in the Welsh Marches region of the United Kingdom, he moved with his family to Hong Kong. There, he served as Head of Geography and House Master of a senior boys’ boarding house at Harrow International School.
Following a spell on the Sunshine Coast in Australia as Head of Humanities at Nambour Christian College, he returned home to Shropshire and spent nine highly enjoyable years at Concord College in the UK, teaching and leading the Geography Department. He has a long history of planning and leading educational trips across six continents.
Mr. Cale is passionate about encouraging students to embrace new learning opportunities. In his own words: “Concord College UK is a very special place, and I hope to further embed the culture of kindness into CCIS Malaysia.”

Mr. Timothy Bown, a native of Liverpool, nurtured his interest in geography throughout his education in his hometown. After his undergraduate studies in geography, he delved deeper into urban and social aspects of the field with a Master of Arts in Geography and Latin American Studies from the University of Liverpool’s Institute of Latin American Studies. He also received his Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Geography with Sociology and Physical Education from St Martins College, Lancaser.
While his teaching career began in Liverpool, a thirst for adventure took him to Istanbul University for two years. Back in the UK, Cumbria became his new destination, where he led geography fieldwork and fostered collaboration between schools. Eventually, London beckoned, and Mr. Bown’s leadership qualities flourished as he not only taught geography in various schools but also rose to senior leadership. Most notably, he gained invaluable experience in pastoral care and safeguarding leadership while working in a vibrant and challenging inner-London school.
This experience provided a strong foundation for him to combine his passion for Geography teaching with his leadership skills in the role of Assistant Head (Whole School Development, Safeguarding and Staffing) at Concord College International School.

Ms. Ong Su Sien is an experienced educator with over 30 years in education. She began her career with the Ministry of Education Malaysia in 1992, serving as both a school teacher and Teacher Trainer with the Curriculum Development Centre. She holds a Bachelor of Education (Hons) in Teaching of English as a Second Language (TESL) and a Master’s degree in English Language Studies.
Following her service with the Ministry, Ms. Ong moved into higher education, where she held senior lecturing and academic leadership positions in colleges and universities. She has extensive experience teaching English, IELTS, and Cambridge English programmes to learners from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Passionate about student development, Ms. Ong believes in fostering respect, kindness, empathy, creativity, and a love of learning. She is known for creating supportive learning environments that prepare students for academic success and life beyond the classroom. During her free time, she enjoys cooking, arts and crafts and travelling.
Ms. Ong is a dedicated and highly experienced educator with over 30 years of service in the field of education. Peter Paszti

Mr. Peter Paszti brings with him a wealth of experience, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Philology in English and American Studies and Masters of Arts in Teaching English Language and Culture from Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest, Hungary. He is also CELTA-certified and has spent over a decade teaching English as an Additional Language (EAL) to both secondary school students and adults.
Currently pursuing a PhD in Law Enforcement at Ludovika University of Public Service, Mr. Paszti’s teaching philosophy centres on empowering young people by equipping them with the language skills needed to excel in their education and future careers. Having taught at CCIS for the past two years, he primarily teaches EAL to Year 7, 8, and 9 students. In addition, he provides language support lessons for students who need extra assistance in developing their English proficiency, enabling them to access the curriculum more confidently, succeed in their studies, and prepare for the challenges of new subjects.
Working with students from a wide range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds has also given him valuable insights into intercultural communication, which he incorporates into his teaching. He strives to create a friendly, supportive classroom environment where students feel comfortable using English, building their confidence, and developing the strong language foundations needed for long-term academic success. He relocated to Malaysia with his wife, a Music teacher at CCIS, and their daughter, a Primary student at the school.

Stephen Bird

Mr. Stephen Bird graduated from the University of East London in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Land Surveying. He began his career in education in Japan and later completed a Master’s in Environmental Science at the University of Tsukuba in 1996. He also holds a Teaching of English to Speakers of Other Language (TESOL) qualification from Arizona State University (2021).
With extensive experience in international education across Asia, Mr. Bird has held senior leadership roles in Japan, including Head of the International Department at Meikei Junior and High School in Tsukuba and at Hosen Gakuen Junior and Senior High School in Tokyo, where he developed international partnerships and cultural exchange programmes across multiple continents. He has also worked in Malaysia as a founding member of an international school, leading the EAL department and contributing to curriculum development.
Most recently, he served as Director of Global Engagement at CCIS Malaysia and now joins the academic team as Head of English as an Additional Language (EAL). He holds JLPT N2 Japanese proficiency and supports multilingual learners across the school. In his Sensei’s own words: “I’m excited to use this opportunity to strengthen connections between Japan, Malaysia, and our international community, while bringing an additional dimension of cultural diversity to school life.”

Mr. Tee Rui Jie is a dedicated educator with extensive experience in English as an Additional Language (EAL), having worked with students from Early Years through to Secondary School across a range of international schools in Malaysia. Throughout his career, he has supported learners from diverse linguistic, cultural and educational backgrounds, helping them develop confidence and proficiency in English.
He holds a Master of Arts in TESOL with Distinction from Northumbria University, Newcastle (UK), and is currently pursuing a PhD in Education at the University of Malaya. Passionate about language learning and student development, Mr. Tee is committed to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered to succeed.
With a strong belief in the transformative power of education, he strives to inspire students to embrace challenges, become independent learners, and reach their full potential. In his own words, ‘Teaching is more than a profession, it is a responsibility and a calling. Ms. Youmi Kim is an experienced English as an Additional Language teacher who is passionate about helping students grow in confidence, accuracy, and independence as English users. With 15 years of teaching experience across Korea, China, the USA, and Malaysia, she brings a global perspective and a strong understanding of multilingual and multicultural learners.

Ms. Kim is currently completing her Master’s in Advanced Teaching, with a focus on developing inclusive and effective classroom practice. Dr. Nur Fiezila Binti Mohd Rezaly is an experienced educator with more than 16 years of teaching experience in both public and private educational institutions. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Measurement from Sultan Idris Education University and a Master of Education from Asia E-University.
Throughout her career, she has contributed extensively to the international education sector, serving as Head of Bahasa Malaysia, an IGCSE Speaking Internal Examiner, and a Cambridge Assessment Specialist for the Foreign Language Malay Reading paper. She was also a founding member of a curriculum development team dedicated to creating innovative teaching approaches that make Bahasa Malaysia learning engaging and meaningful for students from diverse backgrounds.

Along the way, she had the privilege of serving as Head of the Mandarin Department at Sri KDU Klang International School and later as Academic Vice Principal at Wesley Methodist School Bandar Seri Coalfield (Primary). While Ms. Soon values every leadership experience, her greatest joy has always been teaching. She believes language learning should be meaningful, enjoyable, and filled with encouragement.

Ms. Iria Perez Navas studied Journalism and completed a Master’s in Marketing before beginning her career in a fast-paced marketing agency in Spain. She relocated to the United Kingdom to transition into education where she successfully gained her Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and gained extensive experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) across both the state and independent sectors.
Seeking further international experience, she moved with her family to Slovakia to work in an international school before embarking on her latest exciting move to Malaysia.
While Ms. Perez Navas absolutely loves sharing the vibrant Spanish language and culture in her classroom, her true fulfillment comes from pastoral care. She deeply enjoys her role as a Form Tutor, where she prioritises creating meaningful, supportive relationships to help her students thrive both personally and academically.

An experienced Mandarin educator, he has taught First, Second and Foreign Language Mandarin across a range of international and Chinese independent school settings, joining Concord College International School after serving as Head of Year and Mandarin Teacher at Crescendo-HELP International School.
With more than a decade of teaching experience, Mr. Tan is passionate about developing students’ confidence, curiosity and critical thinking. His lessons combine rigorous language learning with wider discussions of literature, current affairs and philosophy, helping students to think deeply and communicate with precision. He believes that effective teaching makes thinking visible by enabling students to understand the logic that underpins language.
Mr. Tan holds Cambridge International qualifications in Teaching and Learning, achieving Distinction in both the Cambridge International Award and Certificate. Ms. Krisztina Ujhazy received her master’s degree in Music Education at the Eotvos Lorand University Budapest, Hungary, and completed her teacher training at the University of East London. She also holds a master’s degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
After teaching strings to all age groups in New Jersey, USA, Mrs. Ujhazy moved back to her native Hungary, where she worked as a Secondary School music teacher and choir conductor, as well as a teacher of English as a second language. She has played the violin in different strings and symphony orchestras and sang in semi-professional choirs in the USA and Hungary. She played the violin in a rock band and wrote songs for them, which the band performed successfully at club concerts and festivals across Europe. She was the artistic director and conductor of school and adult community choirs and conducted them at countless successful concerts and competitions. She is also the composer of instrumental and choral pieces.
Mrs. Ujhazy started her international teaching career as the Secondary Strings Teacher at one of the top international schools in South-East Asia, Bangkok Patana School, Thailand. She joined CCIS in 2024 and designed a Music curriculum across all year groups to challenge students with different backgrounds at their level, creating learning and performing opportunities for talented young musicians.

Mr. Dinesh Gunasekaran is a certified volleyball coach and experienced swimming instructor who has been coaching and teaching swimming since 2019. He has particular experience helping students build water confidence, overcome water phobia, and develop the skills needed for both recreational and competitive swimming. Through his coaching, he strives to create an environment where every student feels supported, challenged, and motivated to improve.
He believes that sport provides a safe environment for students to experience pressure, overcome setbacks, and develop the resilience needed for life’s bigger challenges. He is passionate about helping students build confidence, embrace teamwork, and recognise that meaningful growth comes through both victory and defeat.
Outside school, Mr. Dinesh remains actively involved in the volleyball community as a competitive player, coach, and tournament organiser. He enjoys creating opportunities for athletes to compete and develop, while continuing to learn from the sport himself. Ms. Wan Yasmin Binti Wan Jalaluddin is a Sport Science graduate from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and has been teaching Physical Education since 2018 in an international school setting. With hockey as her main sport, she also has expertise in fitness and dance, including Salsation, Aerodance, and Zumba, as well as other sports.
Passionate about introducing students to a wide variety of sports and physical activities, Ms. Yasmin believes that every child should have the opportunity to develop fundamental movement skills, appreciate the value of sportsmanship, and discover a lifelong passion for staying active. Dr. Tee Yee Bond began his career as a lecturer and researcher in the Faculty of Applied Sciences at one of Malaysia’s leading private universities after completing his PhD in Engineering. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the prestigious University Putra Malaysia. Driven by a passion for education, he later pursued international teaching opportunities, gaining valuable experience across diverse educational settings.
To further enhance his teaching expertise, Dr. Tee completed an International Postgraduate Certificate in Education (iPGCE) with the University of Derby, UK. With more than a decade of experience in education, he has developed extensive expertise in teaching Chemistry across a range of international curricula and examination boards.

Mr. Stuart Smitheringale studied Medical Microbiology at the University of Newcastle, graduating with a first-class honours degree. After several years working as a Business Development Specialist at IBM in London, he built a successful career as a web developer, creating websites for a wide range of clients including law firms, luxury safari companies, political think tanks, and Members of the British Parliament.
He went on to complete his Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) at Durham University, graduating with distinction in 2019. He then taught for several years at a high-performing state grammar school in London before moving to Malaysia, where he taught Biology up to A Level and all sciences at IGCSE. In 2025 he joined Concord College International School, where he teaches Biology to A Level and Science at KS3.
Mr. Smitheringale is a passionate biologist who truly loves everything to do with living things and learning. He is known for going the extra mile to support his students and for creating a kind, encouraging classroom where young people feel confident to explore and grow. A proud supporter of Middlesbrough FC, he brings the same energy and enthusiasm to everything he does in school.

Mr. Sudarshan Nair has over 12 years of experience teaching Mathematics and Physics in international schools in Malaysia. He joined Concord College International School in August 2025, working with students from Lower Secondary through to IGCSE and A-Level. He is particularly passionate about using technology and AI to make lessons more interactive and engaging.
He holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Actuarial Science from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) Malaysia and pursued the Cambridge International Diploma in Teaching and Learning (CIDTL) with Methodist College Kuala Lumpur to further his interest in practitioner inquiry in education. He is currently pursuing a Master of Education by Research with Sunway University Malaysia, where his research explores how artificial intelligence can enhance student engagement.
Outside the classroom, Mr. Sudarshan has served as a house tutor and worked as stage manager for school productions. In his personal time, he loves dabbling in theatre, reading books, watching movies, and travelling to experience different traditional performance arts such as Japanese Kabuki, Indian Kathakali, and Sape performances in Borneo.

Mr. Tenveer Ahmed is an experienced Chemistry teacher, originally born in Pakistan, and raised and educated in the United Kingdom. He brings over 31 years of teaching experience from The Manchester Grammar School, where he taught Chemistry with passion and dedication. He obtained his Chemistry degree at Sheffield University and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from West Midland college of Higher Education.
He is excited to be part of CCIS, and looks forward to continued contributions to the teaching and learning of Chemistry within the school community. He also dreams of beating Mr Timothy Bown at pickleball!
As a father and grandfather, Mr. Ahmed enjoys badminton, chess, hiking, and camping, to relax he may listen to Pink Floyd music; or maybe even just sleep!

He is a dedicated and experienced educator who has taught A Level Chemistry at sixth form colleges across London, as well as internationally at Tenby Schools in Malaysia.
During his year at Concord College International School, Mr. Ahmed placed a strong emphasis on practical work, recognising that hands-on experiments enable students to see chemistry come alive and make clear connections to the underlying theory.
Passionate about his subject, Mr. Ahmed enjoys sparking curiosity in his students – whether through explosive demonstrations or quirky chemical facts. He believes that learning should be exciting, memorable, and meaningful.
Having made the decision to leave the UK, he believes it was the right choice. He continues to enjoy discovering Malaysia and is always pleasantly surprised by something new in this vibrant and diverse country.
Outside the classroom, he enjoys staying active through hiking and racket sports, particularly badminton, squash, and table tennis, which help him maintain a healthy balance of body and mind.
